Finished - Disappearing Nine Patch

In my early days of quilting and building my fabric stash, I purchased fabric that I obviously liked at the time but somehow never used.  I am trying to sew down my stash and I decided to do something with a few charm packs of Etchings by 3Sisters Designs.

It's a simple disappearing nine patch pattern but I have to say I like the result.

This is the third of four recent finishes, each with a different approach to quilting.  I free motion quilted paisleys all over this quilt.

And voila!  Another little tiny pile of fabric put to use!

  1. Yay you! I know what you mean about sewing down your stash. I have done that myself, and now find myself at a loss when it comes to having enough fabric to make a new quilt! Well, I have stash of solids yet (I built that up in the past two years) but the prints are dwindling. It's a good feeling, isn't it? I love a disappearing nine patch and your quilt is proof why. So nice! And an all-over quilting design is excellent practice (not that you need it!) to honing free motion skills. You've done a lovely job and I hope you find a good place to use this quilt.

  2. Nice colors. What size is your block and how many charm packs. Thank you for your time.
