A Little of This and That

One of the advantages of being stuck inside (and not being healed enough to clean the house!) is that I have had some lovely time in the sewing room.  Usually I can focus on one project at a time from beginning to end, but the other day I had concentration issues.

I finally got around to making my first economy block.
There will be many more of these in the future!  I have started to cut a little pile of fussy cut centers (maybe even centered better than the one above!).

Then I found in my little project basket some scrap strips from one of my favorite quilts (love this Suburban quilt pattern!) and combined it with a nice wine themed fabric to make a mini-table runner.

Perfect for under my old school non-bluetooth sound system.

And then I made block #94 (!) Skyscrapers in the Splendid Sampler quilt along.  With the release of the Patriots Day movie, I had to make this in the colors of Boston Strong.

I did a little dusting in the sewing room as well, but that is hard to photograph.  Sunset tonight was pretty nice.

  5. Isn't it just so liberating to do a little of this and a little of that? I need more of that...well, but for a couple of MUST-DO's on my list at the moment. ;-) I love that runner for under your sound system which makes me chortle when you say 'old school' because that is (to me) still pretty cool, all that music (for me, just under 3000 songs) on an iPod or iPhone! We have a set of terrific Bose speakers that are not blue tooth so in the house we are old school; in the vehicle blue tooth up to date! Love the subtle wine fabric!
