Thanks to the Olympics, I was able to finish the binding last night on this cute little quilt.

I considered straight line quilting but decided my go-to meandering loop would add even more softness to this cutie.

The elephant backing fabric is an organic cotton and is SO lovely!

Notice the plastic chicken in this last picture....a contribution from this cutie who we are dog-sitting this week! Nola is a sweetheart!

I think the soon-to-be-new parents will be pleased with this quilt!

Threads used: Pieced with Aurifil 2021 Natural White, quilted with Aurifil 2130 Med. Butter and Bottomline off-white in the bobbin.

Oh by the way, Happy Valentine's Day! This is not such a big day in my house. My husband's historical logic for downplaying this day is something along the lines of "I shouldn't need a special day to show you how much I love you." Instead, for many years he gave me an ice scraper for Valentine's Day. How romantic. But I guess after 37 years of marriage, he may be right.
