Breaking the Rules?

Did you ever have fabric that is so lovely, so beautiful that you couldn't cut it into little pieces?  This must be breaking some quilting rule, so please do not report me...

One large piece, quilted and bound.  The fabric is Winter Solstice by Jason Yenter.  Simply lovely.

Linking up with Crazy Mom Quilts on Friday!  Have a great weekend hopefully filled with holiday fun and not holiday stress!

PS  I've been spending a lot of time with Angela Walters book beside my sewing machine.  Her instructions are so clear and encouraging!  As can be seen above, I have a LONG way to go with my FMQ'ing...but I am having fun!  I am thankful that the Quilting Police do not frequent this blog...so many infractions!

  1. Ohhh yes, me too. I have some Jason Yenter fabric that I canNOT cut up into small pieces--they just look as if they belong just the way they are printed. I used one for the second side of a reversible wall hanging--not cut up AT ALL!!

  2. There's no rule against leaving the fabric whole and letting it tell the WHOLE story! Your table looks beautiful!

  3. Oh I think what you have created is wonderful! I have pieces that I want to keep whole too - that is a good idea I may have to copy!
